Lucien Georgelin has been making fruit preserves in France since 1982, when what began as a one-man operation with two stovetop pots grew into one of the country’s most respected preserve makers. Despite their success, their dedication to quality and flavour has never wavered.
Their Confit Fig Jam is more than a standard preserve — the addition of red wine vinegar and black pepper gives it a savoury depth that makes it an exceptional cheese board accompaniment. Sweet and jammy from the figs and cane sugar, with a gentle acidity and a warm, peppery finish, it bridges the gap between sweet and savoury beautifully. Spoon it alongside aged cheeses, blue cheeses, or a rich chèvre and watch it disappear.
