For this beer, Merit worked with Ladycone Hopyard in Hamilton, Ontario, selecting fresh, whole cone hops at harvest, taking them from right off the bine and straight into the kettle. This is a refreshingly hop forward amber ale using classic ‘C’ hops – Cascade, Chinook and Comet – for a sticky citrus profile of grapefruit with gentle pine balanced by a biscuity malt character.
